  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 29 ( From 25 / 3 to 29 / 3 / 2019) Date of teaching: March 25th, 2019 (4A,4B) UNIT 17: HOW MUCH IS THE T-SHIRT? Lesson 1(Part 1-2) I.Objectives: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to: - Understand the vocabulary about clothes. - ask and answer questions about prices of clothes. Using How much is the ? It’s - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Watch a video about fashion. B. New lesson 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 46 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 2 groups, one group repeats Quan’s part (Mum's part) and another one repeats Mai’s part (seller's part). Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. 2. Point and say - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 46. - Present the new words by using different techniques + T-shirt: áo phong + scarf: khăn quàng cổ + blouse: áo cánh + jacket: áo khoác + skirt: chân váy + jumper: áo len chui đầu 1

II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game "Lucky numbers" to help them review the way to ask and answer the questions about prices of clothes (singular). B. New lesson 3. Listen and tick. 2

GRADE 4 - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 3 on Page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the kinds of clothes and prices in the pictures in this task. - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. 4. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to write the sentence about clothes and prices of them (singular). - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Lesson 2(Part 4-5-6) I.Objectives: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to: - Understand the vocabulary about clothes. - ask and answer questions about prices of clothes. - listen for specific information to number the picture about prices of clothes. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game “What and Where” to help them review the words about clothes. B. New lesson 4. Listen and write the prices. 5

GRADE 4 - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the pictures on page 49. - Help Ss to distinguish the clothes in the pictures and the way to say prices of clothes. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to listen to the tape and write the prices) - Play the tape three times for Ss to listen and write. - Ask Ss to compare their answer with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. 5. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 5 on page 49. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the words about clothes and the way to write about prices of clothes. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Let’s sing. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 6 on page 49 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song on the board and ask Ss to look at it. (Show the song on the slide) - Tell Ss that they are going to sing the song. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the song. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole song. - Call on some ss to sing the song in front of the class. ___ 6
