1. GRADE 4 WEEK 29 ( From 25 / 3 to 29 / 3 / 2019) Date of teaching: March 25th, 2019 (4A,4B) UNIT 17: HOW MUCH IS THE T-SHIRT? Lesson 1(Part 1-2) I.Objectives: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to: - Understand the vocabulary about clothes. - ask and answer questions about prices of clothes. Using How much is the ? It’s - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Watch a video about fashion. B. New lesson 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 46 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 2 groups, one group repeats Quan’s part (Mum's part) and another one repeats Mai’s part (seller's part). Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. 2. Point and say - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 46. - Present the new words by using different techniques + T-shirt: áo phong + scarf: khăn quàng cổ + blouse: áo cánh + jacket: áo khoác + skirt: chân váy + jumper: áo len chui đầu 1

GRADE 4 - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 3 on Page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the kinds of clothes and prices in the pictures in this task. - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. 4. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to write the sentence about clothes and prices of them (singular). - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game “What and Where” to help them review the words about clothes. B. New lesson 4. GRADE 4 - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the pictures on page 49. - Help Ss to distinguish the clothes in the pictures and the way to say prices of clothes. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to listen to the tape and write the prices) - Play the tape three times for Ss to listen and write. - Ask Ss to compare their answer with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. 5. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 5 on page 49. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the words about clothes and the way to write about prices of clothes. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Let’s sing. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 6 on page 49 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song on the board and ask Ss to look at it. (Show the song on the slide) - Tell Ss that they are going to sing the song. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the song. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole song. - Call on some ss to sing the song in front of the class. ___ 6
