  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 26 ( From 4 / 3 to 8 / 3 / 2019) Date of teaching: March 4th, 2019 (4A, 4B) UNIT 15: WHEN’S CHILDREN’S DAY? LESSON 3 (Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - pronounce correctly and distinguish the sound of the letters “cl” and the sound of the letters “fl”. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Let Ss play the game “Journalists” to help them review the way to ask and answer questions about what people do at a festival. 1. Listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 34 and look at the letters “cl” and “fl”. - Tell them that they are going to listen to the tape and pay attention to the way to pronounce correctly the sounds of letters “cl” and the sound of the letters “fl”. - Stick the cards of the words with the letters on the board and ask Ss to look at the words on them. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen and practice pronouncing the focused sounds. (in isolation and in words) - Play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat the words and sentences in chorus three times. - Call on some Ss to repeat the words and sentences in front of the class. Ss & T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) 2. Listen and write. Then say aloud. Have Ss look at the sentences in part 2 on page 34. - Help Ss distinguish the given words and the way to do the task by asking some eliciting questions. - Let Ss listen to the tape and do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answer. - Check the answers with the whole class. - Invite some Ss to read aloud the completed sentences.
  2. GRADE 4 - Listen and give feedback. 3. Let’s chant. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 3 on page 34 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the chant on the board and ask Ss to look at it. - Tell Ss that they are going to chant. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the chant. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole chant. - Call on some ss to sing the chant in front of the class. ___ Date of teaching: March 4th, 2019 (4A) March 5th, 2019 (4B) UNIT 15: WHEN’S CHILDREN’S DAY? LESSON 3 (Part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - ask and answer questions about what people do at a festival. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer, picture, cassette. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to sing the chant in part 3 to motive them before starting the lesson. 4. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 35. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the given sentences. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task individually and then exchange their answers with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - revise the topics, the language competences, the language knowledge (phonics, vocabulary, sentence patterns) they have learnt from unit 11 to unit 15. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer, picture, cassette. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss some questions to elicit the lesson. 1. Listen and number. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 1 on Page 36.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - revise the topics, the language competences, the language knowledge (phonics, vocabulary, sentence patterns) they have learnt from unit 11 to unit 15. - read for specific information. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer, picture, cassette. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game “Slap the papers” to help them review the words they have learnt. 4. Look and write. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 37. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them get the information from the pictures and explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss work in pair to do the task. - Call on some groups to give their answers. - Check the answer with the whole class and give feedback. 5. Write about your father or mother. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the questions in part 5 on page 37. - Help Ss to distinguish the given sentences that they have to complete. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to write about their father or mother by completing the text.) - Let Ss do the task. - Call some Ss to present in front of the class. - Check with the whole class and give feedback. Then fill the gaps. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 1 on Page 38. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them guess what they will read in the story. - Ask Ss to look at the story in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the story. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and fill the gaps. - Call on some Ss to give their answers and check with the whole class. - Ask Ss to work in group of 3 to do the role playing. - Call on some groups to do the role playing in front of the class. - Observe and give feedback. 2. Number the sentences. - Have Ss look at part 2 on page 39. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss work individually to do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. 3. Work in pairs. Complete the conversation with information about you. - Have Ss look at the picture conversation in part 3 on page 39 and ask some eliciting questions. - Ask Ss work in pairs to complete the conversation with information about themselves. - Invite some Ss to perform infront of the class. - Observe and give feedback. 4.   7. GRADE 4 WEEK 27 ( From 11 / 3 to 15 / 3 / 2019) Date of teaching: March 11th, 2019 (4A, 4B) UNIT 16: LET’S GO TO THE BOOKSHOP. LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - make and respond to suggestions to go somewhere. (Strong Ss can speak fluently, pronounce and remember the words well. Weak Ss can speak the dialogue and model sentences). Let’s go to the Great idea!/Sorry, I’m busy. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer, picture, cassette. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Set the scene and ask some questions to elicit the content of the new lesson. 1. Look, listen and repeat - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 40 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 2 groups, one group repeats Phong’s part and another one repeats Phong’s mother’s part. Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. 2. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - ask for and give reasons for going somewhere. Using Why do you want to go to the ? Because I want to - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer, picture, cassette. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game “Matching” to help them review the words they have learnt. (Matching the words with the pictures.) 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 42 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 3 groups, one group repeats Tony’s part, one group repeats Linda’s part and other one repeats Mai’s part.
