  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 20 ( From 25 / 1 to 29 / 1 / 2021) Monday, January 25th 2021.(4A,4B) UNIT 11: WHAT TIME IS IT? LESSON 3 (Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - pronounce the sound and stress correctly and distinguish the sound of the letters “oo”. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. *Q.A: - Ask Ss to work in group of 4 to practice asking and answering questions about time and daily routines. Activiry 1. Listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 10 and look at the letters “oo”. - Tell them that they are going to listen to the tape and pay attention to the way to pronounce correctly the sound of letters “oo”. - Stick the cards of the words with the letters on the board and ask Ss to look at the words on them. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen and practice pronouncing the focused sounds. (in isolation and in words) - Play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat the words and sentences in chorus three times. - Call on some Ss to repeat the words and sentences in front of the class. Activity 2. Listen and write. Then say aloud. Have Ss look at the given sentences in part 2 on page 10. - Help Ss guess the words to complete the gaps and the way to do the task by asking some eliciting questions. - Let Ss listen to the tape and do the task in pairs. - Call on some Ss to give their answer. - Check the answers with the whole class. 1
  2. GRADE 4 - Invite some Ss to read aloud the sentences with the key. - Listen and give feedback. Activity 3. Let’s chant. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 3 on page 10 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the chant on the board and ask Ss to look at it. - Tell Ss that they are going to chant. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the chant. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and do the whole chant. - Call on some ss to do the chant in front of the class. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about time and daily routines. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully ___ Tuesday, January 26th 2021.(4A,4B) UNIT 11: WHAT TIME IS IT? LESSON 3 (Part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - to ask and answer questions about time and daiy routines. - write about their daily routines. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to sing the chant in part 3 to motive them before starting the lesson. Activity 1. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 11. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the given sentences that they have to complete. - Explain the way to do the task. 2

GRADE 4 - Let Ss do the task individually and then exchange their answers with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Project. - Have Ss look at the part 6 on page 11 and ask some eliciting questions. - Tell Ss that they are going to complete their daily routines using the given given table and then tell the class about it. - Let Ss work individually to complete the table about their daily routines. - Call on some Ss to present their daily routines in front of the class. ___ Thursday, January 28th 2021.(4A,4B) UNIT 12: WHAT DOES YOUR FATHER DO? LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: 3
  4. GRADE 4 - ask and answer questions about someone’s job. (Strong Ss can speak fluently, pronounce and remember the words well. Weak Ss can speak the dialogue and model sentences). - What does your do? He’s/She’s a - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Help Ss review what they have learnt in Unit 11 and elicit to introduce the new lesson. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 12 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 3 groups, one group repeats Miss Hien’s part, one group repeats Mai’s part and other one repeats Nam’s part.Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. Activity 2. Point and say. - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 12. - Present the new words by using different techniques + farmer: nông dân + nurse: y tá + student: học sinh + driver: tài xế + factory worker: công nhân nhà máy - After eliciting each word, T models 3 times and gets Ss to do choral. Then, T calls Ss to repeat individually. - Ask Ss to copy down those words in their notebooks - Present the way to ask and answer questions about someone’s job. 4
  5. GRADE 4 What does your do? He’s/She’s a - Do the task with one student as an example. E.g: Teacher: What does your father do? Vy: He’s a teacher. - Ask Ss to work in pairs, one student ask and another one answers questions about someone’s job by pointing the given pictures. Then Ask Ss to change the roles. - Select some pairs of Ss to demonstrate the task in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. T’assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can practice exactly. - Teacher listens and pays attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?) - T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) ___ Friday, January 29th 2021.(4A,4B) UNIT 12: WHAT DOES YOUR FATHER DO? LESSON 1 (Part 3-4-5) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about someone’s job. - listen for specific information. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Let Ss play the game “Word square” to help them review the words about the job. Activity 1. Listen and tick - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 3 on Page 13. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the different jobs in the pictures in this task. 5

GRADE 4 - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. Assessment: - Ss’ uderstanding about the content of listening task. Activity 2. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 13. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to write the sentences about someones’s job. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss work in pairs to do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Let’s sing - Have Ss look at the picture in part 6 on page 13 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song on the board and ask Ss to look at it. (Show the song on the slide) - Tell Ss that they are going to sing the song. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the song. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole song. - Call on some ss to sing the song in front of the class.
