  1. Lesson plan 4 School year: 2019-2020 WEEK 8 Teaching date: 15/10 15/10 14/10 Class 4A 4B 4C Period 1. UNIT 5: CAN YOU SWIM ? Lesson 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about the activities: dance, sing, can, can not= can’t, skip, skate, cook, swim. - Ask and answer questions about abilities of someone . Use the sentence: What can you do? I can - Express students’ concern about the abilities of someone. II. Teaching aids: Text book, picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A.Warm up - Some Ss present their homelink before the class. T gives feedback (pronunciation, performance and voice) Q-A: -Ask Ss to eliciting questions to elicit the new lessons. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about abilities - Practise listening, reading and writing about abilities that have learn in last lesson. - Express their concern about activities they can do. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: Play a game: matching Assessement: ( praise and share) B.New lesson Activity 3. Listen and tick - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: 1a 2 c 3a *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments . II.Teaching Aids: Teacher’s book, student’s book, pictures, CD player, CD III.Procedure: A-Warm up: Play game: Passing ball: What can you do? Some ss read the answers aloud , give comments and correct. * *Written comments Activity 6: Let’s sing Introduce about the song: Can you swim? -Give students a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text in silence. -Have choral and individual repetition of each line of the lyrics. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Call a group of six to present in the front of the class.
