  1. Lesson plan 4 School year: 2019-2020 WEEK 4 Teaching date: 17/9 17/9 16/9 Class 4A 4B 4C Period 1. UNIT 2: I’M FROM JAPAN. Lesson 2: Part 1,2,3 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify some vocabularies about nationality: American, Australian, English, Japanese, Malaysian, Vietnamese. - Ask and answer question about one’s nationality. Use: What nationality are you? – I’m - Express Sts’ concern about their nationality. II.Teaching Aids: Teacher’s book, student’s book, pictures, CD player, CD III.Procedure: A-Warm up: Game : Jumple words America, Australia, England, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam. - QA: Sts’ vocabualaries about countries. - Oral comments - Praise and share B-New lesson. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. + Discover the picture: *Q-A -How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? + Listen to the recording a few times ( 3 times) + Listen and repeat line by line. + Say the words in each bubble Activity 2: Point and say. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify two sounds: /j/ /v/ - Listen and tick the words including the sounds. - Express students’ concern about Ss’ country and nationality. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Game:Slap the board Praise and share B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Practise pronouncing. * Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. Activity 2: Listen and tick. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to: - Ss revise vocabulary about some coutries and nationalities. - Read the paragraph and complete the table and write about student’s name, country , nationality. - Make a card about their information and draw the flag. - Express concern about country and nationality. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A-Warm up: - chant “What nationality are you?” and clap their hands. T observes, focus on lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation Oral comments. - Chant correctly rhythm and beautifully. B-New lesson Activity 4. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to identify the characters in the two picture. - Have a revision of the language: “What is her/his name?, Where is he/she from?, What nationality is he/she? - Ask Ss to read the paragraph and complete. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction - Call on some Ss to report their answers. Project - Introduce the situation. - Explain how to do the exercise: Select a country and make a name card and draw the flag on a piece of paper. Then show them to class - Ask Ss give the comment and correct Ss’ errors - read the cards and complete it. - share their answers. - T calls some pupils to their projects and gives comments. portfolio.
