1. Lesson plan 4 School year: 2020-2021 WEEK 3 Teaching 23/9 25/9 24/9 23/9 date: Class 4A 4B 4C 4D Period 1 UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. Lesson 3: Part 1,2,3 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify two sounds: /l/ /n/ - Listen and write the words including the sounds. - Express students’ concern about Ss’ relationships. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Game:Slap the board Praise and share B. New lesson: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Practise pronouncing. * Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. Activity 2: Listen and write. T plays the recording and Ss listen to do the task * Observation: Focus on spelling Share answers T observes Listen again to check the answer and give feedback. Activity 3: Let’s chant. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: - chant “Hello, friends?” and clap their hands. T observes, focus on lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation Oral comments. - Chant correctly rhythm and beautifully. B.New lesson Activity 4. Read and answer. - Ask Ss to identify the characters in the two student’s card - Have a revision of the language: “What is the girl’s name? - Ask Ss to read the questions and answer - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction - Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment. Oral comment: - St’s can match correctly . - St read correctly the questions and answers. 5. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about some countries: Japan, Australia , England, Malaysia, Vietnam, America. - Ask and answer questions about where someone is from . Use the sentence: Where are you from? – I’m from - Express students’ concern about some countries in the world. II. Teaching aids: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A.Warm up - Some Ss present their homelink before the class. T Gives feedback (pronunciation, performance and voice) Q-A: Ask Ss to eliciting questions to elicit the new lessons. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat line by line once or twice. - Have Ss repeat the whole dialogue in chorus or in group. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about some countries. - Practise Listening, Reading and writing some countries that have learn in last lesson. - Express their concern about some countries. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: Play matching Assessement: ( praise and share) B.New lesson Activity 3. Listen and tick - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: 1 2 3 *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments . Japan Activity 5 Let’s sing: - Give students a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text in silence. -Have choral and individual repetition of each line of the lyrics. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Call a group of six to the front of the class. The group sings the first two lines in every stanza and the rest of the class sings the last T’s asessment: give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). C.
