  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 30 ( From 1 / 4 to 5 / 4 / 2019) Date of teaching: April 1st, 2019 (4A,4B) UNIT 17: HOW MUCH IS THE T-SHIRT? LESSON 3 (Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to : - know the way to stress the words. - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: Student’s and teacher’s book, computer. III. New lesson: Warm up: - Let Ss play the game “Cross word” to help them review the words about clothes. 1. Listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 50 and look at the given words. - Tell them that they are going to listen to the tape and pay attention to the way to stress the words. - Stick the cards of the words on the board and ask Ss to look at the words on them. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen and practice pronouncing the given words with the stress marks. - Play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat the words and sentences in chorus three times. - Call on some Ss to repeat the words and sentences in front of the class. - T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) 2. Look at the sentences and the stress marks. Then listen and say the sentences aloud. - Have Ss look at the sentences in part 2 on page 50. - Help Ss pronounce the given words with stress marks. - Let Ss listen to the tape. -Let Ss practice reading the given sentences. - Call on some Ss to read aloud the sentences in front of the class. - Check with the whole class and give feedback. 3. Let’s chant. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 3 on page 50 and ask some eliciting questions. 1

GRADE 4 - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the chant on the board and ask Ss to look at it. - Tell Ss that they are going to chant. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the chant. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole chant. - Call on some Ss to sing the chant in front of the class. LESSON 3 (Part 4-5-6) I.Objectives: By the end of this unit, pupils can - ask and answer questions about prices of clothes. - Read and understand the text about clothes. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up: - Ask Ss to sing the chant in part 3 to motive them before starting the lesson. B. New lesson. 4. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 51. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the given given columns. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task individually and then exchange their answers with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Key: + On hot days - At school: a blouse, a short skirt, a red scarf, a pair of sandals - At home: a blouse, a pair of shorts, a pair of slippers. 2

Draw three clothing items and write their prices. - Have Ss look at part 5 on page 51. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to show their pictures and read aloud the sentences they have written. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. 6. LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I.Objectives: By the end of this unit, pupils can - ask and answer questions about phone numbers. (Strong Ss can speak fluently, pronounce and remember the words well. Weak Ss can speak the dialogue and model sentences). What’s your phone number? - It’s - develop their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. II. Teaching aids: computer, CD tracks III. Procedures A. Warm – up 3
  4. GRADE 4 - Greeting. - Let Ss play the game “Matching” to help them review the words about clothes they have learnt in unit 17. B. New lesson. 1. Look, listen and repeat. Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? - . Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. 2. Point and say. - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 52. - Introduce the new words by using different techniques + phone number: số điện thoại + mobile phone: điện thoại di động - After eliciting each word, T models 3 times and gets Ss to do choral. Then, T calls Ss to repeat individually. - Ask Ss to copy down those words in their notebooks - Present the way to ask and answer questions about phone numbers. What’s your phone number? It’s - Do the task with one student as an example. E.g: Teacher: What’s your phone number? Hoa: It’s 0972234567 - Ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer questions about phone numbers by pointing the given pictures. Then Ask Ss to change the roles. - Select some pairs of Ss to demonstrate the task in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. - Let Ss play the game “Lucky number” to help them practice asking and answering questions about phone numbers. 4

Listen and tick. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 3 on Page 53. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the phone number in the pictures in this task. - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. 4. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 53. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to ask and answer questions about phone numbers. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. 5.   6. GRADE 4 - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 5 on page 53 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song on the board and ask Ss to look at it.
