  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 16 ( From 10 / 12 to 14 / 12 / 2018) Date of teaching: December 10th ,2018(4A,4B) Period 61 UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY? LESSON 1 (Part 3-4-5) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about where someone was in the past. - sing the song Where were you yesterday? - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. .Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question Where were you yesterday?- I was . Activity 1. Listen and tick. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the pictures on page 65. - Help Ss to distinguish the places in the pictures and guess the correct answers. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to listen to the tape and tick) - Play the tape twice for Ss to listen and tick. - Ask Ss to compare their answer with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. Activity 2. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 65. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to say about where someone was in the past. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Lesson 2(Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past, What did you do yesterday? I . - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Let’s sing the song Where were you yesterday? Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - listen and repeat - T elicits the model sentence: - What did you do yesterday? - I . 2

Point and say. - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 66. - Present the new words by using different techniques + water the flowers: tưới hoa + wash: rửa + paint the picture: tô, vẽ tranh - After eliciting each word, T models 3 times and gets Ss to do choral. Then, T calls Ss to repeat individually. - Ask Ss to copy down those words in their notebooks - Present the way to ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past. What did you do yesterday? I + verb-ed. - Do the task with one student as an example. E.g: Teacher: What did you do yesterday? Huyen: I played the piano. - Ask Ss to work in pairs, ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past by pointing the given pictures. Then Ask Ss to change the roles. - Select some pairs of Ss to demonstrate the task in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past. - listen for specific information to number the pictures. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. Ask Ss to work in pair to review the way to ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past, What did you do yesterday? Activity 1. Listen and number. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the pictures on page 67. - Help Ss to distinguish the actions in the pictures and guess the order of the pictures. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to listen to the tape and number) - Play the tape three times for Ss to listen and number. - Ask Ss to compare their answer with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. Activity 2. Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 5 on page 67. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to ask and answer questions about where someone was and what someone did in the past. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback.   5. GRADE 4 Date of teaching: December 14th ,2018(4A,4B) Period 64 UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY? LESSON 3 (Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - pronounce correctly and distinguish three ways of the ending sound of the letters “ed”. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Let Ss to do the task “Reorder” to help them review the sentence patterns they have learnt. Activity 1. Listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 68 and look at the letters “ed”. - Tell them that they are going to listen to the tape and pay attention to the ways to pronounce correctly the ending sound of letters “ed”. - Stick the cards of the words with the letters on the board and ask Ss to look at the words on them. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen and practice pronouncing the focused sounds. (in isolation and in words) - Play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat the words and sentences in chorus three times. - Call on some Ss to repeat the words and sentences in front of the class. Assessment: - Ss’ uderstanding about the content of listening task. Activity 2. Listen and tick. Then say aloud. - Have Ss look at the given sentences in part 2 on page 68. - Help Ss distinguish the given sentences especially the verd with “ed” and the way to do the task by asking some eliciting questions. - Let Ss listen to the tape and do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answer. - Check the answers with the whole class. - Invite some Ss to read aloud the completed sentences. - Listen and give feedback. T’assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can practice exactly. Activity 3. Let’s chant. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 3 on page 68 and ask some eliciting questions. 5

GRADE 4 - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the chant on the board and ask Ss to look at it. - Tell Ss that they are going to chant. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the chant. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole chant. - Call on some ss to sing the chant in front of the class. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary :you remeber the vocab. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly. - Ss’s chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully ___ 6
