- GRADE 4 WEEK 11 ( From 5 / 11 to 9 / 11 / 2018) Period 41 Date of teaching: November 5th, ,2018(4A, 4B) UNIT 6: WHERE’S YOUR SCHOOL? LESSON 3 (Part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - write about where their school is and what class they are in. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - chant school, school, school ! and to clap their hands. Activity 1. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 45. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the given information. - Explain the way to do the task. (They are going to read the given information and complete the text.) - Let Ss do the task individually and then exchange their answers with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answerswith the whole class and give feedback. *Key: 1. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) 6. Project. - Have Ss look at the part 6 on page 45 and ask some eliciting questions. - Tell Ss that they are going to make a card about their friend’s school and class. - Let Ss work individually to do the task. - Call on some Ss to report their information they have done in their cards. - Give feedback. ___ Period 42 Date of teaching:November 6th, ,2018(4A, 4B) UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING? LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about what someone likes doing. What do you like doing? I like . - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to review what they have learnt in Unit 6 and elicit to introduce the new lesson. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? 2
- GRADE 4 + Where are they? + Who is this? - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 4 groups, and to repeat the dialogue in turn. Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. Activity 2. Point and say. - Have Ss look at the pictures in part 2 on page 46. - Present the new words by using different techniques + swimming: bơi + cooking: nấu ăn + collecting stamps: sưu tầm tem + playing chess: chơi cờ vua + watching TV: xem ti vi - After eliciting each word, T models 3 times and gets Ss to do choral. Then, T calls Ss to repeat individually. - Ask Ss to copy down those words in their notebooks - Present the way to ask and answer questions what someone likes doing. What do you like doing? I like - Do the task with one student as an example. Ex: Teacher: What do you like doing? Hoa: I like cooking. - Ask Ss to work in pairs, one student ask and another one answers questions about what someone likes doing by pointing the given pictures. Then Ask Ss to change the roles. - Select some pairs of Ss to demonstrate the task in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. Ex. S1. What do you like doing? S2. I like cooking.What do you like doing? S1. I like playing chess. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about what someone likes doing. - listen for specific information. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. *.Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question What do you like doing? - I like Activity 1. Listen and tick. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 3 on Page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the different actions in the pictures in this task. - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. Activity 2. . Look and write. - Have Ss look at part 4 on page 47. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them review the way to say what someone can do. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss work in pairs to do the task. - Call on some pairs to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. * Key: 1. playing football. 2. playing chess. 3. reading (books). 4

Let’s sing. - Have Ss look at the picture in part 5 on page 47 and ask some eliciting questions. - Stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song on the board and ask Ss to look at it. (Show the song on the slide) - Tell Ss that they are going to sing the song. - Play the recording through for Ss to get familiarized with the pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the tune of the song. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat. - Let Ss listen the recording and sing the whole song. - Call on some ss to sing the song in front of the class. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about days and subjects: you remeber the days of a week, subjects. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s sing: you sing beautifully/well/wonderfully Portfolio: ___ Period 44 Date of teaching:November 9th, ,2018(4A, 4B) UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING? Lesson 2(Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer questions about someone’s hobbies. What’s your hobby? I like - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to play the game “Guess the words” to help them review the words they have learnt. (reading, swimming, cooking, playing chess, collecting stamps.) (A student will do the actions to help the classmates guess the words.) Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. 5
- GRADE 4 - Ask Ss to open the Student’s Book on Page 48 and look at the pictures in part 1. - Ask some eliciting questions to help Ss guess what they will learn in the dialogue. - Teach the new words in the dialogue. + hobby: sở thích - Ask Ss to look at the dialogue in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the dialogues. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Divide the class into 2 groups, one group repeats Tom’s part and another one repeats Peter’s part. Then change the roles. - Listen and give feedback. Activity 2. Hai: I like reading. - Ask Ss to work in pairs, ask and answer questions about someone’s hobbies by pointing the given pictures. Then Ask Ss to change the roles. - Select some pairs of Ss to demonstrate the task in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. T’assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can practice exactly. - Teacher listens and pays attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?)
