  1. Lesson plan 4 School year: 2019-2020 WEEK 5 Teaching date: 24/9 24/9 23/9 Class 4A 4B 4C Period 1. UNIT 3: WHAT DAY IS IT TODAY? LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, today. - Aks ans aswer question about days of the week: What day is it today? – It’s - Express students’ concern about days of the week. II. Teaching aids: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A.Warm up - Sing the song Days of the week. T gives feedback (pronunciation, performance and voice) Q-A: Ask Ss to eliciting questions to elicit the new lessons. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? (Call on some pairs to do the role play if it’s necessary.) Activity 2. Point and say. Ask Ss to revise the vocabulary about days of the week by playing the game “Matching”. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, today. - Practise listening, reading and writing the days of the week. - Express their concern about days of the week. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: Call some pairs to Aks ans aswer question about days of the week infront of the class. Assessement: ( praise and share) B.New lesson Activity 3. Listen and tick - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: 1b 2a 3c *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments . ( point to the object in the table?) - Give pupils time to do the task, swap and check their answers. => peer-assessment - Do choral and individual repetition *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe how to students work in a group ( co-opration, discipline, the duty of the leader ) - Praise and share: ( Good job/ Perfect/ .) - S’s assessment: + give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). Let’s sing: - Give students a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text in silence. -Have choral and individual repetition of each line of the lyrics. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doingthe actions. - Call a group of six to the front of the class. The group sings the first two lines in every stanza and the rest of the class sings the last T’s asessment: give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). C. II.Teaching Aids: CD player. III. Stage: A.Warm up: Game : Who’ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, today. - Oral comments - Praise and share B.New lesson. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. + Discover the picture: *Q-A -How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? + Listen to the recording a few times ( 3 times) + Listen and repeat line by line. + Say the words in each bubble Activity 2: Point and say.
