Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify sound: /oo/ - Listen and circle the words including the sounds. - Express students’ concern about Ss’ time by listening skill. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Game: Slap the board Praise and share B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Practise pronouncing. * Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. Activity 2: Listen and circle. Then write and say aloud. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A-Warm up: - chant “What time do you go to school?” T observes, focus on lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation Oral comments. - Chant correctly rhythm and beautifully. B-New lesson Activity 4. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to identify the content in the paragraph. - Read 4 sentences and identify the contents in paragraph and fill the blank. - Ask Ss to read the paragraph and complete. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Call on some Ss to report their answers. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about jobs : teacher, doctor, farmer, dentist, - Ask and answer questions about jobs. Use the model sentence: What does your do? He’s/ she’s . - Express students’ concern about job they want to do . II. Teaching aids: Text book, picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A.Warm up Sing a song. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments . Activity 4. Look and write: Q-A: -Elicit the pictures: + How many pictures are there? + What job is it? ( point to the object in the picture?) - Give pupils time to do the task. Activity 5: Let’s sing: - Give students a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text in silence. - Have choral and individual repetition of each line of the lyrics. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Call a group of six to the front of the class. The group sings the first two lines in every stanza and the rest of the class sings the last T’s asessment: oral comments (focus on the word-spelling). C.
