Lesson 2( Part 4-5-6 ) I.Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss can: - Revise some words and phrases about What people are doing. - Practice listening and reading skills . - Express Sts’ concern about What people are doing. II.Teaching aids: - Teacher’s book, student’s book, pictures, CD player, CD III.Procedure: I. Warm up: (3ms) 1. Warm up: Game : What and where - Oral comments - Praise and share*Oral: praise and share Activity 4: Listen and number. (7ms) Discover the picture *Q-A: How many T plays the recording and Ss listen once or twice. call some ss share answers and give feedback. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doingthe actions. - Call a group of six to the front of the class. The group sings the first two lines in every stanza and the rest of the class sings the last T’s asessment: oral comments ( voice, focus on the word-spelling). IV. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Game:Slap the board Praise and share B. New lesson: I. Presentation: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Practise pronouncing. * Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. II. Practice: Activity 2: Listen and write. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to: - Ss revise vocabulary about What people are doing. - Read the paragraph about Phong’s friends and tick T/F about what they are doing - Express concern about What people are doing. . II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A. Warm up: - chant “What ‘s he doing? and clap their hands. T observes, focus on lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation Oral comments. - Chant correctly rhythm and beautifully. Activity 4. Read and tick. - Ask Ss to identify the characters in the picture. - Have a revision of the language: “What day is it today?? Are Phong’s friends having a break? - Ask Ss to read the paragraph about Phong’s friends and tick T/F - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction - Call on some Ss to report their answers.
