  1. GRADE 4 WEEK 17 ( From 17 / 12 to 21 / 12 / 2018) Date of teaching: December 17th ,2018(4A,4B) Period 65 Where were you yesterday? Lesson 3(part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - write about where they were and what they did in the past. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss to sing the chant in part 3 to motive them before starting the lesson. Activity 1. Read and complete. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 4 on Page 69. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the given information. - Explain the way to do the task. (They are going to read the text and complete the given sentences.) - Let Ss do the task individually and then exchange their answers with their partners. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Key: 1. watered the flowers. 2. played chess with her father. 3. watched TV. Activity 2. Write about you. - Have Ss look at part 5 on page 69. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Project. - Have Ss look at the part 6 on page 69 and ask some eliciting questions. - Tell Ss that they are going to work in pair to ask their partners where they were and what they did last weekend. Then tell the class about it. - Ask some questions to make sure that Ss understand the way to do the task. - Let Ss to do the task. - Call on some Ss to report their project in front of the class. - Listen and give feedback. ___ Date of teaching: December 17th , 2018(4A) December 18th, 2018(4B) Period 66 Review 2 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - revise the topics, the language competences, the language knowledge (phonics, vocabulary, sentence patterns) they have learnt from unit 6 to unit 10. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Ask Ss some questions to elicit the lesson. Activity 1. Listen and tick. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 1 on Page 70. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguish the content of the pictures in this task. (Help Ss review the words and the way to pronounce them correctly to choose the correct answers.) - Explain the way to do the task. - Play the tape three times and let Ss work in pairs to do the task. - Call on some pairs to give their answers. - Play the tape the last time to check with the whole class. - Observe and give feedback. Activity 2. Read and circle. - Have Ss look at part 2 on page 70. 2

Read and match. - Have Ss look at part 3 on page 71. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them distinguih the given questions and given answers. - Explain the way to do the task. - Let Ss work in groups to do the task. - Call on some Ss to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class and give feedback. Let’s write. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at the pictures and given text in part 5 on page 71. - Help Ss to distinguish the given pictures and text that they have to complete. - Explain the way to do this task. (They’re going to write about the break time using the given pictures by completing the text.) - Let Ss do the task. - Call some Ss to present in front of the class. - Check with the whole class and give feedback. Activity 3. Read and listen to the story. - Ask Ss to open their books and look at part 1 on Page 72. - Ask Ss some eliciting questions to help them guess what they will read in the story. - Ask Ss to look at the story in the Student Book, listen to the recording of the story. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape twice. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus three times. - Ask Ss to work in group of 3 to do the role playing. - Call on some groups to do the role playing in front of the class. ___ Date of teaching: December 21st, 2018(4A,4B) Period 68 Short story : Cat and Mouse 2 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - read and understand story and do some tasks. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Call on some Ss to role play the story before starting the lesson. Activity 1. Complete the conversation. - Have Ss look at part 2 on page 73. 4
