  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 8 ( From 14/10 to 18/10 /2019) Date of teaching: October 14th, 2019.(5A,5B) UNIT 5: WHERE WILL YOU BE THIS WEEKEND? Lesson 3 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about where someone will do and mark the stress on the word. - Develop listening ,speaking and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: QA. S1: Where will you be next week? S2: I think I will on the beach. S1: What will you do? S2: I don’t know. I may build sand castles. Activity 1: Listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the words and sentences carefully. - Pay attention about the red stress and how to read stress correctly. - Read the words after the tape - Read the sentences with the correct stress. - Repeat the sentences after the tape - Call on a pair to repeat each line - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback Activity 2: Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in sentences . 1

GRADE 5 - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction - Give out the answers - Listen and feedback with the teacher Assessement: T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) Activity 3: Let’s chant: Where will you be this weekend? - Run through all the sentences of the chant invididually. - Listen the chant carefully. - Read the chant after the tape. - Read the chant and clap the hand. - Practice the chant with classmates. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to read the chant. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary . - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully ___ Date of teaching: October 15th, 2019.(5A,5B) UNIT 5: WHERE WILL YOU BE THIS WEEKEND? Lesson 3 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about where someone will do and mark the stress on the word. - Develop listening ,writing skills. 2

Read and complete - Read the text carefully to understand the meaning and what they are reading. - Read and get information to write complete the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction Assessment: T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) Activity 2. Write about you - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write about your friend - Trade their text within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Comment with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. - The others listen and give comments. T’s assessment: Go round and observe, correct on ss’writing. Criteria for Ss’assessment : 3

Project: Interview your classmates about where they will go and what they will do next weekend. - Interview classmates about where they will go and what they will do - Report in class. - Listen and comment. Assessment: SS’assessment: - You listen and pay attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?)
