- GRADE 4 WEEK 1 ( From 26/ 8 to 30/ 8/ 2019) Date of teaching: August 26th, 2019 (4A,4B) UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN Lesson 1(1,2) I. Objectives: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to greet and response to greetings formally - Develop listening and speaking skills II. Teaching aids: - Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards III. Language focus: - Present the structures: Good morning! How are you? - Vocabulary: good morning/ afternoon / evening / night IV. Procedures: 1. Warm up: - Greet the ss - Introduce Name and new subject. 2. Look, listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the dialogue carefully. - Underline the new words and the structure in the book. - Elicit the word: good morning / good afternoon / good evening: and compare with the partner to feedback. - Repeat the sentences in the bubbles a few times . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs). - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback - Elicit the new structure: Good morning/ Good afternoon ., Name. How are you? - I’m fine, thank you. 3. Point and say - Look the model in the book - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually 1
- GRADE 4 - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessment: SS’assessment: - You listen and pay attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?) Objectives: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to greet and response to greetings formally - Develop listening and writing skills II. Teaching aids: - Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards III. Language focus: - Present the structures: Good morning! How are you? - Vocabulary: good morning/ afternoon / evening / night IV. Procedures: 1. Warm up - Play a game: bingo 2. Listen and tick - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in these pictures - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. 2
- GRADE 4 - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction - Trade the answer on the board - Listen and feedback with the teacher 3. Look and write - Identify the characters in the pictures and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write complete the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. - Trade the answer for correction. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) 4. Objectives: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to greet and response to goodbye. - Develop listening and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids: - Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards III. Language focus: - Present the structures: Good morning! Nice to meet you. - Vocabulary: see you tomorrow/ see you again 3

Language focus: - Present the structures: Good morning! Nice to meet you. - Vocabulary: see you tomorrow/ see you again IV. Procedures Warm up: Play games - Play game with 4 teams. First look at the pictures and identify the characters and read the signs they have got. Who is team faster is winner. 1. Listen and number - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in these pictures - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction - Trade the answer on the board - Listen and feedback with the teacher 2.
