- Lesson plan 4 School year: 2019-2020 WEEK 2 Teaching date: 4/9 4/9 3/9 Class 4A 4B 4C UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. LESSON 1 (Part 1-2) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about greeting formally. - Greeting and responding to greetings formally. - Express students’ concern about their friends’ relationships. II. Teaching aids: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A. Warm up - Sing the song Hello. T Gives feedback (pronunciation, performance and voice) Q-A: Ask Ss to eliciting questions to elicit the new lessons. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? - Lesson plan 4 School year: 2019-2020 Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat line by line once or twice. - Have Ss repeat the whole dialogue in chorus or in group. (Call on some pairs to do the role play if it’s necessary.) Activity 2. Point and say. Ask Ss to revise the vocabulary about greeting formally by playing the game “Matching”. T gives comments ( checklist) Teach the sentence pattern. Ask some questions to elicit the new sentence pattern of the lesson. “Good ” Modeling Point and say - Use textbook Peer assessment (Ss work in pairs to practice asking and answering about school things by using the new sentence pattern. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about greeting and responding normally. - Pactise Listening, Reading and writing the greeting and responding normally. - Express their concern about Ss relationships. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: Call some pairs to greet and respond greeting infront of the class. Assessement: ( praise and share) Activity 4. Listen and tick - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: 1b 2a 3a *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments . ( point to the object in the picture?) - Give pupils time to do the task, swap and check their answers. => peer-assessment - Do choral and individual repetition *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe how to students work in a group ( co-opration, discipline, the duty of the leader ) - Praise and share: ( Good job/ Perfect/ .) - S’s assessment: + give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). Students check together. Key: 1. morning 2 afternoon 3 bye Activity 6 Let’s sing: - Give students a few seconds to look at the pictures and read the text in silence. -Have choral and individual repetition of each line of the lyrics. When pupils are familiar with the tune, give a demonstration of the song and actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doingthe actions. - Call a group of six to the front of the class. The group sings the first two lines in every stanza and the rest of the class sings the last T’s asessment: give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). IV.
