Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Idenfity some new words : take part in, match, hard, event, competion - Read and understand texts about Sports Day, write about Sports Day - Have a good attitude about learning and love English more. - Express their concern about ofther festivals. II. Teaching aids: Teacher :Projector, speaker , posters, pictures Students: Textbook III. Procedure: A. Warm up (5’): Slap the board - Ask some Ss to chant What are they going to do? Oral: gives comments: lyrics, rhythm and performance. - Whole class chants 2. New lesson Act. 4. Read and tick (7’) - Give instruction. - Read and do the task. - Trade the answers with a partner. - Give the answers. Observation ( quick note)and Oral task (oral comment): pronunciation ,structures, stress Act. 5: Write about Sports Day ( 10’) - Give instruction.
