  4. Introduction Tet is a national and family holiday in Vietnam. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese people to have a precious time while thinking about the last year and the upcoming year.
  5. II. Time
  6. Tet usually starts at the end of January and ends in early February of solar calendar.( it means from the 1st to the 3rd day of the first lunar month.)
  7. III. Prepare
  8. ● Tet shopping such as: +buy new clothes + buy ornamental trees, flowers +buy Tet paintings + buy New Year couplets ● Make Chung cake, Tet cake, , make ginger jam, make coconut jam ● Clean and decorate the house: make Fruit tray,clean tables, chairs and altars ● Place a bamboo pole in front of the house to chase away bad spirits or bad things. ● Food: +Traditional cakes: Chung cake and Day cake, Tet cake, +Candies: +Drinks: soft drink, soda, juice, +Fruit:especially watermelon (the words Phuc - Loc - Tho are attached)
