OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Correctly pronounce the stress on the first syllable of two-syllable nouns, such as words teacher and dentist, and in sentences like My mother’s a teacher. and My father’s a dentist. - Identify the stress on some two-syllable words and circle the word with a different stress pattern from the other two words; - Say the chant with the correct pronunciation, word stress and rhythm. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Phonic: the stress on the second syllable: teacher and dentist - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss show their interest in their future job. Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Responsibility: appreciate kindness 4. - Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ Game: Matching game *Aims: to help ss to review the old lesson and be happy to learn new lesson. *Teaching techniques: -techniques in teaching playing game. *Procedure: - Use pictures and cards. -Ss listen. e.g. A picture of a teacher – I’d like to teach children. A reporter – I’d like to report the news. A gardener – I’d like to grow flowers. A writer – I’d like to write stories. - Have four Ss hold the pictures and stand in the corners of the classroom. - Give four cards of sentences to four pupils. - Ask Ss holding cards to find and match their cards with the correct pictures. - Ss play game. - Praise the ones who finish the matching. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Make Questions & Answers about someone’s future job; - Read and write about someone’s future job; - Conduct a report about the future jobs that the class members would like to do in the future and use it to practise talking in the class during Project time. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and reading 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss show their interests about their future jobs.
