  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 16 ( From 10 / 12 to 14 / 12 / 2018) Date of teaching: December 10th ,2018(5A) December 11th,2018(5B) Period 61 UNIT 10: WHEN WILL SPORTY DAY BE? Lesson 1 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about school events. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. .Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question When will be?- It will be on Activity 1. Listen and match. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text . - Listen to the tape carefully. - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books. - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and match. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners . - Trade the answer together. - Feedback for correction. Listen and feedback with the teacher. Assessment: - Ss’ uderstanding about the content of listening task. Activity 2. Read and match 1

GRADE 5 - Identify the task and what they are doing. - Read and get information to do the task. - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs). - Feedback the answer with the partner. Trade the answer for correction Assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can practice exactly. Activity 3. Let’s sing: When will sport day be? - Read the lyrics. - Listen to the song. - Sing the song after the tape pause. - Sing a song in front of class. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about days and subjects: you remeber the days of a week, subjects. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s sing: you sing beautifully/well/wonderfully Portfolio: collect pictures about the school events: Sports Day, Teachers Day, Independence Day, Children’s Day. ___ ___ Date of teaching: December 11th ,2018(5A) December 12th,2018(5B) Period 62 UNIT 10: WHEN WILL SPORTY DAY BE? Lesson 2 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer the question about what someone is going to do / play on Sport Day. - What are you going to do on Sport Day? - I’m going to play football. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2

Look, listen and repeat - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - listen and repeat - T elicits the model sentence: - What are you going to do on Sport Day? - I’m going to play football. Activity 2. Point and say - Look the model in the book - Run through all the words: play football, play basketball, play chess, play table tennis, play badminton - Elicit the new structure:What are you going to do on Sport Day? I’m going to play football. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - Ask your partners what subjects they have today. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Let’s talk - Look the model in the book - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually - Guiding questions: When will Sport Day be? Lesson 2 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer the question about what someone is going to do / play on Sport Day. - Write about your Sport Day. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. 4
  5. GRADE 5 *Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question- When will Teachers Day be?- It will be on - What are you going to do? - I’m going to Activity 1. Listen and number - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in text . - Listen to the tape carefully. - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the charts in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and number. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together. - Feedback for correction. -Trade the answer on the board. - Listen and feedback with the teacher. Activity 2. Write about you - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write complete the task. - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner. - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. - Trade the answer for correction Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar 5

Let’s play: Pass the secret - Give out the rules. - Play the game. ___ Date of teaching: December 13th ,2018(5A,5B) Period 64 UNIT 10: WHEN WILL SPORTS DAY BE? Lesson 3 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - pronounce the sound and stress correctly. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. Activity 1. Listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the words and sentences. - Pay attention about the red stress and how to read stress correctly. - Read the words after the tape. - Read the sentences with the correct stress. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partne. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs). 6
  7. GRADE 5 - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Activity 2. Listen and underline the stressed words. Then say the sentences aloud. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in sentences - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the sentences in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and underline the stressed words. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners . - Trade the answer together - Read the sentences aloud - Feedback for correction - Give out the answers - Read the sentences aloud Listen and feedback with the teacher T’assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can practice exactly. Activity 3. Let’s chant: What are you going to do? - Run through all the sentences of the chant invididually. - Listen the chant carefully. - Read the chant after the tape. - - Read the chant and clap the hand. - Practice the chant with classmates. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to read the chant. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about school events. 7
