  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 19 ( From 18 / 1 to 22 / 1 / 2021) Monday, January 18th 2021.(5A,5B) UNIT 11: WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH YOU? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about common health problems. What’s the matter with you? - I have a fever. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - sing a song Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - listen and repeat - T elicits the model sentence: - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback Activity 2. Point and say - Look the model in the book - Elicit the words: a headache, a fever, a toothache, an earache, a stomachache, a sore throat - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually. 1

Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. *Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question: What’s the matter with you? Activity 1. Listen and tick - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct cell. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction Trade the answer on the board Listen and feedback with the teacher Activity 2. Read and complete - Identify the text and what they are writing - Read and get information to do the task 3

The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction Activity 3. Let’s sing: What’s the matter with you? - read sentences and words of the song - Play the recording and listen to the song. - do the actions and clap their hands after the song - Have class sing the song again to reinforce their pronunciation. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Let’s sing: What’s the matter with you? Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Look at book and listen the dialogue . 4
