- GRADE 5 WEEK 15 ( From 2 / 12 to 6 / 12 /2019) Date of teaching: December 2nd, 2019.(5A,5B) UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 2 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about what animal did in a zoo. - write about the visit to the zoo. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. .Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question What did the .do when you were there? Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about zoo animals: you remeber the name of animals. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly. Activity 1. Listen and circle a or b - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text . - Listen to the tape carefully. - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books. - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and circle a or b. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together. - Feedback for correction. Trade the answer on the board. Listen and feedback with the teacher. 1
- GRADE 5 Activity 2. Write about your visit to the zoo - Identify the task and what they are doing. - Read and get information to do the task. - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together - Feedback the answer with the partner. - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) Activity 3. Let’s play: Animals in action (Charades) - Listen to the rules. - Play the game. ___ Date of teaching: December 3rd, 2019.(5A,5B) UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 3 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - pronounce the sound and stress correctly. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Sing the song What did you see at the zoo? 2

Listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the words and sentences carefully. - Pay attention about the red stress and how to read stress correctly. - Read the words after the tape. - Read the sentences with the correct stress. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs). - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Ss & T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) Activity 2. Listen and underline the stressed words. Then say the sentences aloud. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in sentences . - Listen to the tape carefully. - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the sentences in their books. - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and underline the stressed words. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together. - Read the sentences aloud. - Feedback for correction. - Give out the answers - Read the sentences aloud Listen and feedback with the teacher 3

Let’s chant: What are you reading? - Run through all the sentences of the chant invididually - Listen the chant carefully. - Read the chant after the tape. - Read the chant and clap the hand. - Practice the chant with classmates. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to read the chant. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about animals in the zoo.: you remeber the vob. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully Portfolio: ___ Date of teaching: December 4th, 2019.(5A,5B) UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 3 (4,5,6,7) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - read and do the task. - write about your last visit to the zoo. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: Activity 1. Read and match - Read the text carefully to understand the meaning and what they are reading. - Read and get information to match. 4
- GRADE 5 - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction Activity 2. Write about your last visit to the zoo. - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write about your favorite book - Trade their text within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Comment with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. - The others listen and give comments. Lesson 1 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about school events. When will the Sport Day be? It will be on Saturday. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - watch videos about some events: Sport Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - listen and repeat - T elicits the model sentence: + When will the Sport Day be? It will be on Saturday. Activity 2. Point and say . - Look the model in the book - Run through all the words: sport day, teacher’s day, Independence Day, children’s day - Elicit the new structure:When will the Sport Day be?
