  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 10 ( From 29 / 10 to 2 / 11 / 2018) Period 37 October 29th ,2018 (5A) October 30th ,2018 (5B) UNIT 6: HOW MANY LESSONS DO YOU HAVE TODAY? Lesson 1 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - know some subjects. - Ask and answer about lessons. How many lessons do you have today? I have four: Maths, English, Vietnamese and Music. - Develop listening ,speaking and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: * QA. Call a few pairs to the front of class to ask and answer the question . S1. How lessons do you have today? S2. I have four. S1. What lessons do you have today? S2. Maths, English, Vietnamese and Music. . Activity 1. Listen and tick. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) 1
  2. GRADE 5 - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction - Trade the answer on the board - Listen and feedback with the teacher Activity 2. Read and complete. - Identify the text and what they are doing. - Read and get information to do the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. - Trade the answer for correction T’s assessment: Go round and observe,and give comments. Activity 3. Let’s sing: How many lessons do you have today? - Read the lyrics first. - Listen to the tape and read the each sentence. - Play the second time and sing the song. - Listen to the song again to sing the song by heart. - Sing the song with the partners. - Perform the song in front of class. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about subjects: you remeber subjects. - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s sing: you sing beautifully/well/wonderfully * Portfolio. ___ 2
  3. GRADE 5 Period 38 October 30th ,2018 (5a) October 31st ,2018 (5B) UNIT 6: HOW MANY LESSONS DO YOU HAVE TODAY? Lesson 2 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about how often someone has a subject, How often do you have English?- I have it four times a week. - Develop listening ,speaking and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - sing the song How many lessons do you have today? Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who are they? - Look at book and listen the dialogue carefully. - Underline the new words and the structure in the book. - Elicit the word and compare with the partner to feedback. . - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs). - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback 3

I have it four times a week. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback Assessment: SS’assessment: - You listen and pay attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?) T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) Activity 3. Let’s talk - Look the model in the book . - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually. - Make a dialogue about where you live - Guide question: How many lessons do you have today? How often do you have .? - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. 4

Lesson 2 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about how often someone has a subject. - Develop listening ,speaking , reading, writing skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Play a game: Spelling bee. Activity 1. Listen and circle a or b. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) 5

Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about how often someone has a subject. - do sentence stress. - Develop listening ,speaking , reading, writing skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: Kim’s game Activity 1. Listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the words and sentences carefully. -Pay attention about the red stress and how to read stress correctly. - Read the words after the tape. - Read the sentences with the correct stress. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback Activity 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences - to the request of the task and identify the characters in sentences - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books. - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. 7

Let’s chant: How often do you have ? - Run through all the sentences of the chant invididually. - Listen the chant carefully - Read the chant after the tape. - Read the chant and clap the hand. - Practice the chant with classmates. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to read the chant. - Other classmates listen and feedback.
