  1. WEEK 8 School Year: 2020- 2021 Preparing date: Teaching date: UNIT 5 ARE THEY YOUR FRIENDS? Lesson 1 ( part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the name of someone. - Practice Reading and speaking introducing one’s friend and responding to the intruction,using “This is .” - Express students’ concern about name of someone by using “This is .” II. Teaching aids: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: Warm up : Chatting - Students go to round and talk their age and name each others. Ex: St A: What’s your name? St B: My name’s Hoa, and you? St A: How old are you? St B: I’m nine years old. Oral comment IV. NEW LESSON: 1. Look, listen and repeat. Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Where are they? - Who are they? Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat line by line once or twice. - Have Ss repeat the whole dialogue in chorus or in group. (Call on some pairs to do the role play if it’s necessary.) 2. Point and say: Teach the sentence pattern. Ask some questions to elicit the new sentence pattern of the lesson. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise the model: “This is .” - practise Listening, Reading and writing using“This is .” - Express their concern about someone around them.   3. WEEK 8 School Year: 2020- 2021 - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: 1b 2a *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments 5. Read and write: -T Have Ss turn their books to page 31. -T ask Ss elicit the names of the characters in the pictures a, b. Q-A: - Tell Ss that they are going to read the sentences to get the information in order to match the pictures to the text. - Ss read the sentences individually and do the task. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary for pupils to check their answers. *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe how to students work in a group ( co-opration, discipline, the duty of the leader ) - Praise and share: ( Good job/ Perfect/ .) - S’s assessment: + give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). Let’s sing - Ask st to open book on Page 31 and - Teacher stick the large-sized sheet of paper with the song “the more we are together” - T divide the class into two groups to take turns to say and clap the song. - Ask ss to sing the song in group. _ Call on a few groups to perform the task in front of the class. Oral comments( focus on pronunciation, voice and intonations). - Praise V.Homelink - Introduce one’s friend and respond to the introduction. - Ask students to learn the song by heart. II. Teaching aids: Student book Tieng Anh 3, Unit 5, page 32; CD. III/ Procedures: WARM-UP: - Student sing the song “The more we are together.” - Ask some st go to the board write some words: This, that, you, I , no, yes. * Oral comment: (lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation)       IV. NEW LESSON: 1. Look, listen and repeat:. + Discover the picture: *Q-A -How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? -Where are they? + Listen to the recording a few times ( 3 times) + Listen and repeat line by line. + Say the words in each bubble 2. II.Teaching aids: - Teacher’s book, student’s book, pictures, CD player, CD. III/ Procedures: A.
