- Weeek 29 Date: UNIT 18: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Lesson 1: (part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about one’s action in progress. - Practise Listening, Reading and writing about one’s action in progress. - Express their concern about one’s action in progress. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: - slap thhe board: read/cook / watch TV/listen to music Assessement: ( praise and share) - Ss’s structure: you can use the sentence pattern “ What are you doing ? – I’m .” exactly B. New lesson: Activity 4. Listen and tick - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments Activity 5. Read and write Q-A: - What are you going to do? + What’s Mai’s father doing? + What’s Mai’s brother doing? + Model the first sentence . - Give pupils time to do the task, swap and check their answers. => peer-assessment - Do choral and individual repetition
- *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe how to students work in a group ( co-opration, discipline, the duty of the leader ) - Praise and share: ( Good job/ Perfect/ .) - S’s assessment: + give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). Home link: Talk about the things in the room that you have. UNIT 18: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Lesson 2: 1,2,3 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify some vocabularies about one’s action in progress: sing, dance, skate, draw a picture, play the piano - Ask and answer question about someone’s action in proress. Using “ What’s he/she doing? – he’s/she’s .” - Express Sts’ concern about someone’s action in proress. II.Teaching Aids: CD player. III. Procedures A. Warm up: Game : Bingo B. sing, dance, skate, draw a picture, play the piano - QA: Sts’ vocabualaries about one’s action in progress. - Oral comments - Praise and share C. New lesson. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat.10ms + Discover the picture: *Q-A -How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they?

( Point to the objects) + Listen to the recording a few times ( 3 times) + Listen and repeat line by line. + Say the words in each bubble Activity 2: Point and say.10ms Aims of this activity - Ask and answer about things in the room and quantity of things. Lesson 2( Part 4+ 5 +6 ) I.Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss can: - Revise vocabularies about the places . - Practice listening and reading skills by using the question : “ What’s he/she doing? – he’s/she’s .” - Express their concern about someone’s action in progress
- II.Teaching aids: - Teacher’s book, student’s book, pictures, CD player, CD III.Procedure: A. Warm up: (3ms) - T hold a game about the location of things in the classroom. *Oral: B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and number. (7ms) Discover the picture *Q-A: What pets are there ? Where are they? T plays the recording and Ss listen once or twice. call some ss share answers and give feedback. Key: Q.A ( focus on questions : Who is he/ she? What’s he/she doing? Activity 2: Read and match (12ms) T ask ss identify the task . ss read the sentences and do the task. Some ss read the answers aloud , give comments and correct. * Written Comments Activity 6. Project. - Tell your classmates what they are doing. - Have Ss do the action and others guest what they are doing. Observation: praise D. Oral comments( focus on pronunciation, voice and intonations). E. Homelink (3ms) Draw some things in the room you like. UNIT 18: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Lesson 3: Part 1,4,5 I. Objectives:
- By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify two sounds: /ea/ /aw/ - Listen and write the words including the sounds. Practice reading and writing about one’s action in progress. - Complete the table about someone’s action in progress. - Express students’ concern about one’s action in progress II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Game:matching (sing, dance, skate, draw a picture, play the piano ) * Q&A What’s he/she doing? B. New lesson: I. Presentation: Activity 1: Listen repeat and write: - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. Practise pronouncing. * Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. T plays the recording and Ss listen to do the task * Observation: Focus on spelling Share answers T observes Listen again to check the answer and give feedback. III. Production Activity 4. Read and complete. - Read the sentences and complete the suitable words .
- - Share their answers. - T calls some pupils to read their answers aloud and gives comments. Oral comment: - St’s can match correctly. - St read correctly the questions and answers. Activity 5. Let’swrite. - SS look at the questions . - Read and write the correct answers for the exercise. - Get Ss to write their answers on the board. - Check and correct mistakes Observation: Take-note. - St’s answer questions about Quan’s family.
