  1. Week 13 UNIT 7: THAT’S MY SCHOOL Lesson 3: Part 1,2,3 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify two sounds /ʤ/ and /l/ - Listen and write the words containing the sounds /ʤ/ and /l/ - Revise the words and structures related to the topic My school through chanting. - Express students’ concern about school facilities, using Is your/the ? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. It’s II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks, school things. III. Procedure: A. Warm up: Q-A Is your school big? Is the computer room new? T’s assessment: (using the smiling card): Exact answer, good pronunciation, good intonation Exact answer, ok pronunciation, intonation (not good) B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and repeat Introduce the sounds/ʤ/ and /l/ Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat. Practice pronouncing. Assessment: focus on Ss’ pronunciation Activity 2: Listen and write Guess the words containing the letter g, sound /ʤ/ and the letter l, sound /l / to fill the gaps.
  2. -Listen to the recording and check your guess then write the words you hear to fill the gaps. * Observation: Focus on spelling Some pupils read the answers aloud. T gives comments and feedback Key: 1. gym 2. Look Activity 3: Let’s chant Aims: Revise the words and structures about school facility Introduce the chant, read each line of the chant, pupils listen and repeat Pupils listen and repeat line by line Practice chanting and doing the actions. Chant in two groups. One group chants the questions, the other chants the answers. Oral comment: (lyrics, rhythm and pronunciation) Activity 4: Production: Your friend moved to live in a new place last summer. Now you see him/her again. Ask and answer to know about his/her new school. Think of the questions you may ask your friend to know the school facilities in his/her school. Role-play, make dialogue. Act out the dialogues in front of the class. Ss and T’s assessments: Give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, intonation, interaction) C. Homelink: - Recite the chant - Use real information about your own school to make a new chant.
  3. Period 47 UNIT 7: THAT’S MY SCHOOL Lesson 3: Part 4,5,6 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Revise the words and structures they have learned in unit 7 through reading and matching the questions with the answers or the sentence with the response. - Practice reading by using the words given to fill the gaps in paragraph. - Express concern about their school facilities. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks, posters, crayon, paper. III. Procedure: A. Warm up: Chant “ Is your school new? ”(Use real information about their own school to make a new chant). Assessement: - Ss’ vocabulary about school facilities - Ss’ structure: you can use the question Is your/the .Yes, it is/ No it isn’t. It’s exactly - Ss’ chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully B. New lesson: Activity 1: Read and match Read the questions, answers, sentence and response. Match the questions with the answers or the sentence with the response. Swap and check their answers. Some pupils read the answers aloud.   5. Write about your dream school. UNIT 8: THIS IS MY PEN Lesson 1: Part 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about school things - Talk about school things, using This is/ That’s + (school thing) - Express their concern about their friends’ school things. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, computer. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A.Warm up Sing the song: This is the way we go to school Assessement: - Ss’s structure: you can use the sentence “This is the way we ” exactly - Ss’s sing: you sing beautifully/well/wonderfully B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - Who is this? - What is it? - What does Linda say? Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat line by line twice. - Have Ss listen and repeat the dialogues in chorus or in groups. T’s assessment: Listen to Ss’ repetition if the Ss repeat the linking sounds and intonation correctly. Activity 2. Point and say. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, computer. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A.Warm up Play the game: Slap the board: Use the pictures of school things. T’s assessment: Observe and give scores if Ss clap the pictures exactly. B. New lesson: Activity 1. Listen and tick Discover the pictures: - How many picture are there in each sentence? - What is it in picture a, b, c ? - . Listen to the recording twice and tick the correct pictures Listen to the recording and check the answers T’s assessment: Observe the ways students do the task, give comments and feedback.
