  1. WEEK 2 Teaching date: Tuesday, September 4th 2018 Class: 53, 52, 51 UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS? LESSON 1: 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - identify some new words: address, road, lane, tower, floor, live, with - ask and answer question about address using sentence patterns: What’s your address? It’s 81, Tran Hung Dao street. - Express their concern about someone’s address by asking question What’s your address? II. Teaching aids and materials: recordings, flashcards, pictures III. Procedure: A. Warm up: - Gets students to joint into the activity. - T asks Ss to sing a song - Then T plays the tape and asks Ss to sing - Introduces the new lesson. B. New lesson: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat. Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What’s he like? Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. - T ask Ss to work in pairs Observation and Oral gives comments (pronunciaion, intonation and sentence patterns) Activity 2: Point and say. Focus on the structure, pre-teach vocabulary Vocabulary: address, road, lane, tower, floor, live, with
  2. Structure: What’s your address? It’s Word-check: What and Where. Oral: Praise Good ss and Q-A to check understanding about meaning of some words. Model Practise asking and answering the sentences pattern. Observation and Oral- feedback (pronunciation, body language during asking and answering, structure) -Some pair ask and answer in front ot the class. Oral: T and ss: give comments and praise in pronunciation, attitude, structure. Activity 3: Let’s talk Aims: Ss can use the new structure in a particular situation. Ask Ss to ask and answer questions about address. Work in group of five and talk Observation and Oral: pronunciation, body language during asking and answering, structure; feedback pronunciation mistakes. Some groups talk in front of the class. Oral: T and ss: give comments and praise (pronunciation, attitude, structure) C. Homelink: Ask some new friends about their address and take notes. Lesson 1: 4, 5, 6 Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - identify the vocabularies: wheel, bell, round, all - listen to and understand texts about address - ask and answer the sentence patterns: What’s your address? It’s II. Teaching aids and materials: CD, Speakers, flashcards, pictures III. Procedure: 1. Warm up (5’): - Show some pictures on the board. - Ask SS to identify street, lane, road, avenue
  3. Oral: give comments and praise( pronunciation and spelling). B. New lesson: Activity 1. Listen and complete. - Discover the picture by ask and asnwer some questions. Oral: Q-A to check understanding. - Listen and complete. - Share ideas. Observation: attitude when working in groups, pronunciation. - Some Ss report their answers. Oral: Give Feedback and Q-A to check understanding about the text in listening task. Key: 1: 208, 2: 321, 3: White street, 4: second floor. Activity 5. Read and complete. - Discover the picture Oral: Q-A to check understanding. - Look and write. Observation and written: attitude when working, spelling. - Share ideas - Listen and check. Oral: Give Feedback and Q-A to check understanding about the text in reading task. Key: 1: from, 2: lives, 3: address, 4: street Activity 6. Let’s sing: -Introduce the new song: What’s your address? - Read the lyrics. - Listen the song. + 1st: students listen + 2nd: stop each sentence in the song and asks sing along + 3rd: students sing in chorus - Sing in groups. Observation: lyrics, rythm and attitude when singing.
  4. - Divide class into three groups and song. Which group song are good, that group is the winner. Oral: T ad Ss: gives comments, checklist (lyrics, rythm, attitude and voume) C. Homelink.:2' - Make new song by changing the lyrics. Teaching date: Thursday, September 6th 2018 Class: 51, 52, 53 UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS? Lesson 2: 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - identify the vocabularies: hometown, mountain, busy, far, quiet, town, crowded - ask and answer about their hometown using the sentence patterns: What’s the city like? It’s big and busy. - express their concern about their places by asking and answering about their hometown. II. Teaching aids and materials: recordings, flashcards, pictures III. Procedure: A. Warm up (5’): - Ask some Ss to sing the song The wheels on the bus. Oral: gives comments: lyrics, rythm and performance. - Whole class sing the song. B. New lesson 1. Presentation Act. 1. Look, Listen and repeat (10’) - discover the picture by asking some questions about the pictures. Oral: Q-A to checkunderstanding about the pictures. - T plays the CD and Ss listen once or twice. - Listen and repeat few times whole class, in pairs. - Ss play the roles of the characters.

Oral: Q-A to checkunderstanding about the pictures and the task. - Look and repeat the question and answer on the board. - Learn vocabulary. - Check vocab: Slap the board. Oral: give comments (speed and attitude, accuracy when playing) - Work in pairs to ask and answer. Observation: attitude when working in groups, pronunciation, structure. - Few pairs perform the task in front of the class. Observation and Oral: pronunciation, body language during asking and answering, structure; feedback pronunciation mistakes. 3. Production Act. 3: Let’s talk. (10’) Aims of this activity: Ss can ask and answer about how someone’s hometown like in a particular situation. - Look at the questions on the board. - Model - Ask and answer in pairs, demonstrate. Observation and Oral: pronunciation, body language during asking and answering, structure; feedback pronunciation mistakes. C. Homelink - draw a picture to describe their hometown.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - listen to and understand text about hometown. - write about address and hometown - express their feeling with their hometown by talking about their hometown II. Teaching aids and materials: CD, speakers, recordings, flashcards, pictures III. Procedure: 1. Warm up (5’): - Some Ss to talk about their hometown and their address. Oral: Give comments and correct( pronunciation, intonation, structure) 2. New lesson Act. 1. Listen and circle a or b.(10’) - Discover the picture and the require ofthe task. Oral: Q-A to checkunderstanding. - Listen and circle. - Share ideas Observation: attitude when working, pronunciation - Listen and check Oral: Praise. Key: 1- a, 2-b, 3-b, 4-a Act. 2: Write about you. (10’) - Discover the picture and the request of the task. Oral: Q-A to checkunderstanding. - Write about you. Observation and written- write comment: attitude when working, spelling and structure.

(10’) Aims of this act: Ss can speak out the diffenrences betwen different places and remember the words and senences patterns they have learnt. - Introduce rules of the game. Oral: Q-A to checkunderstanding. - Play in group to identify the differences. - Report the difference. Oral: Praise and Feedback. Key: sign BUS STOP, pharmrcy, yellow car after blue car, boy behind the man, girl infront onf the yellow building,the tree next to yellow building. 3.
