  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 5 ( From 24 / 9 to 28 / 9 / 2018) UNIT 3: WHERE DID YOU GO ON HOLIDAY? Lesson 3 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about past holiday . - mark the stress on the word. - Develop listening,speaking and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, pictures . 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - talk about your last holiday. Activity 1. Listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the words and sentences carefully. - Pay attention about the red stress and how to read stress correctly. - Read the words after the tape. - Read the sentences with the correct stress. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation) Activity 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in sentences . - Listen to the tape carefully. 1

GRADE 5 - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together. - Feedback for correction. Give out the answers Listen and feedback with the teacher. Assessment: - Ss’ uderstanding about the content of listening task. Activity 3. Let’s chant: Where did you go? - Run through all the sentences of the chant invididually. - Listen the chant carefully. - Read the chant after the tape. - Read the chant and clap the hand. - Practice the chant with classmates. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to read the chant. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about holiday: you remember the vocabulary - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully ___ UNIT 3: WHERE DID YOU GO ON HOLIDAY? Lesson 3 (4,5,6,7) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - read and understand and do task. - Interview classmates about their holidays. - Develop listening,speaking ,writing and reading skills. 2

Read and complete - Read the text carefully to understand the meaning and what they are reading. - Read and get information to write complete the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction Activity2 . Read and write - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write about your friend - Trade their text within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Comment with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. - others listen and give comments. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling 3

S2: (Yes/No) Criteria for Ss’assessment : Excellent Good Ok Design Spelling Presentation Activity 4. Color the stars - Read the guiding in the book - Color all the stars if you can do all the tasks - Review the knowledge. ___ UNIT 4: DID YOU GO TO THE PARTY? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about whether someone did something ,- Did you go to the party? - Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t. - Develop listening and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: QA. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. Discover the pictures + How many people are there in this picture? + Who is this? + What is her/his name? 4

GRADE 5 - Listen to the recording a few times - listen and repeat line by line - say the words in each bubble - Elicit the word: enjoy the party, have a lot of fun, go on a picnic, join the funfair: and compare with the partner to feedback. - Repeat the sentences after the tape - Call on a pair to repeat each line - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback - Elicit the new structure:Did you ? Ss & T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) ___ UNIT 3: DID YOU GO TO THE PARTY? Lesson 1 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about whether someone did something ,- Did you go to the party? - Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t. - Develop listening and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: Play a game: Simon says Activity 1. Listen and tick yes/no. - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st: Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. 6
