  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 14 ( From 26 / 11 to 30 / 11 / 2018) Date of teaching: November 26th, ,2018(5A) November 27th ,2018(5B) Period 53 UNIT 8: WHAT ARE YOU READING? Lesson 3 (4,5,6,7) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - read the text and do the task. - write about favourite book. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Chant What are you reading? Activity 1. Read and tick Yes (Y) or No ( N) - Read the text carefully to understand the meaning and what they are reading. - Read and get information to tick Y/N. - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner. - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. Trade the answer for correction Activity 2. Write about your favorite book - Identify the text and what they are writing. 1

GRADE 5 - Read and get information to write about your favorite book . - Trade their text within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Comment with the partner. - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. - The others listen and give comments. *Key. I like reading books in my free time. My favourite book is The Fox and The Crow. The main character is The Fox. I like him very much because he is clever. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) Activity 3. Project: Interview three classmates about their favorite books and characters - Go around class and interview classmates about their favorite books and characters . - Take note in small paper. - Report in class. - Listen and comment. Ss & T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) Activity 4. Color the stars - read the guiding in the book. - Color all the stars if you can do all the tasks. - Review the knowledge. ___ 2
  3. GRADE 5 Period 54 Date of teaching :November 27th,2018(5A) November 28th ,2018(5B) UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 1 (1,2,3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - know about some animals at a zoo. - ask and answer question about animals in a zoo, - What did you see at the zoo? - I saw - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting. - Watch a video about animals in a zoo. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - listen and repeat - T elicits the model sentence: - What did you see at the zoo? - I saw Activity 2. Point and say - Look the model in the book . - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually: elephant, monkey, python, peacock, crocodile, gorilla. - Elicit the new structure:What did you see at the zoo? I saw a baby elephant. 3

GRADE 5 - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessment: SS’assessment: - You listen and pay attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?) T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, pronunciation, interaction) Activity 2. Let’s talk . - Look the model in the book. - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually. - Make a dialogue about where you live. - Guide question: When did you go to the zoo? What did you see at the zoo? - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - know about some animals at a zoo. - ask and answer question about animals in a zoo - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting .Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question: What did you see at the zoo? - I saw Activity 1. Listen and tick - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text . - Listen to the tape carefully. - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books. - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together. - Feedback for correction. - Trade the answer on the board. - Listen and feedback with the teacher. Assessment: - Ss’ uderstanding about the content of listening task. Activity 2. Read and complete 5
