  1. GRADE 5 WEEK 11 ( From 5 / 11 to 9 / 11 / 2018) Period 41 Date of teaching:November 5th, ,2018(5A) November 6th ,2018(5B) UNIT 6: HOW MANY LESSONS DO YOU HAVE TODAY? Lesson 3 (4,5,6,7) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - know some subjects. - ask and answer question about how often someone has a subject - Write a letter to a pen friend. - Develop listening ,speaking, writing and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - chant How often do you have ? and to clap their hands. Assessement: - Ss’s vocabulary about subjects: you remeber . - Ss’s structure: you can use the question “ ” exactly - Ss’s chant: you chant beautifully/well/wonderfully Activity 1. Read and complete - Read the text carefully to understand the meaning and what they are reading. - Read and get information to write complete the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. The others listen and give comments. - Trade the answer for correction Activity 2. Write about your school and lessons. 1

GRADE 5 - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write about your school and lessons - Trade their text within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Comment with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups. - The others listen and give comments. *key. My school started in August. I go to school from Monday to Friday. I have seven lessons a day. I have Maths, Vietnammese , English, and Art on Wednesday. I have Music once a week. I have English four times a week. Assessment criteria: - Correct words - Grammar - Spelling T’s asessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact structure, vocabulary) Activity 3. Project: Write a letter to a pen friend to talk about your timetable. - Write a letter and talk about your timetable. - Report in class. - Listen and comment T’assessment: Go around and Observe if the students can write exactly. Activity 4. Color the stars. - Read the guiding in the book. - Color all the stars if you can do all the tasks. - Review the knowledge. ___ 2

Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about how someone learns English, How often do you practice .? I . - Develop listening ,speaking, and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - sing the song How many lessons do you have today. Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat - Discover the pictures: + How many people are there? + Where are they? + Who is this? - Look at book and listen the dialogue carefully. - Underline the new words and the structure in the book. - Elicit the word and compare with the partner to feedback. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play. - Other classmates listen and feedback. - T elicits the model sentence: - How do you practice reading? - I read English comic books. GRADE 5 - Look the model in the book - Elicit the words: practice, write new words, speak English, watch English cartoons, write emails/letters, read short stories - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually - Elicit the new structure:How often do you practice reading English? I read English comics books. - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play. - Change another partner in groups to practice. - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback. Assessment: SS’assessment: - You listen and pay attention to their questions and answers; their voice & pronunciation; their intonation, their communication (Do they communicate or only read a question?) Activity 3. Let’s talk - Look the model in the book - Run through all the words and practice the form invididually - Make a dialogue about where you live - Guide question: How often do you have English? Do you have English today? How do you practice .? - Practice speaking with the partner - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback 4

Lesson 1 (4,5,6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will: - ask and answer question about how someone learns English, - sing How do you learn English song. - Develop listening ,speaking, and reading skills. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer, pictures. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures Warm up: - Greeting *.Q.A: Call a few pairs to the front of the class to ask and answer the question: How do you practice ? - I Activity 1. Listen and tick . - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in the text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction 5
