- GRADE 5 WEEK 1 ( From 26/ 8 to 30/ 8/ 2019) Date of teaching: August 26th, 2019 (5A,5B) UNIT 1: WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS? Lesson 1(1,2,3) I. Objectives: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer question about someone’s address. - Develop listening and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids: - Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards III. Language focus: - Present the structures: What’s your address? It’s 105 Hoa Binh Lane. - Vocabulary: address, lane, street, road, flat, floor, city tower IV. Procedures Warm up - Greet the ss - Introduce Name and new subject. 1. Look, listen and repeat - Look at book and listen the dialogue carefully. - Underline the new words and the structure in the book. - Elicit the word: address, lane, street, road, flat, floor, city tower: and compare with the partner to feedback. - Repeat the sentences after the tape . - Call on a pair to repeat each line. - Practice speaking with the partner. - Turn back the role play - Change another partner in groups to practice (close pairs / open pairs) - The leader controls and calls classmate in groups to role play - Other classmates listen and feedback. - Elicit the new structure: What’s your address? Listen and complete - Listen to the request of the task and identify the characters in text - Listen to the tape carefully - 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books - 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures. - Choose one or two Ss to share their answers with their classmates. - 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers. - Listen to the tape again and compare with the partners (close pairs / open pairs) - Trade the answer together - Feedback for correction - Trade the answer on the board - Listen and feedback with the teacher 2. Read and complete- - Identify the text and what they are writing. - Read and get information to write complete the task - Trade their answers within pairs or groups to compare together (close pairs / open pairs) - Feedback the answer with the partner - One student reads the answers aloud to the groups.
