Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Read the text about Tom and tick Yes or No. - Write about the favourite book. - Interview classmates about their favourite books and characters. - Develop reading, writing and speaking skills. - Express their concern aboutfavourite book/ story. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher: Teacher’s book, student’s book, activboard. - Students: Student’s book, notebook, pen, pencil, ruler, III. Procedure: * Warm-up: - Read the chant: What are you reading? Activity 1: 4. Read and tick Yes (Y) or No (N). - Show the picture in the bookand ask: + Who is he? + What is he doing? - Read the text and tick Y or N in the box. - Share the answers. - Share in front of the class. *Keys: 1. T 2. F 3. T 4. F 5. T Activity 2: 5. Write about your favourite book. - Guide Ss how to write. - Read and complete the passage. - Share the writing. - Call some Ss to read their writing.   3. WEEK 15 Period 58 Date of teaching : UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 1: Part 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify the vocabularies about zoo animals. - Ask and answer about animals in the zoo, using: What did you see at the zoo? I saw - Develop Ss’ speaking and listening skills. - Express their concern about zoo animals. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher: Teacher’s book, student’s book, activboard. - Students: Student’s book, notebook, pen, pencil, ruler, III. Procedure: * Warm-up: - Sing a song Activity 1: 1. Look, listen and repeat - Discover the picture: + How many people are there in the picture? Who are they? Where are they? What animals are there in the pictures? - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary. - Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Where did you go on holiday? I went Assessment: - Fluently, pronunciation, interaction. Activity 2: 2. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher: Teacher’s book, student’s book, activboard. - Students: Student’s book, notebook, pen, pencil, ruler, III. Procedure: * Warm-up: - Game: Network ( zoo animal) Assessment: - Quickly, correctly Activity 1: 4. Listen and tick. - Discover the pictures: + What animals are they? - Listen and tick. - Share ideas - Feedback. Keys: 1. b 2. a 3. b Assessment: - correctly, pronunciation. Activity 2: 5. Read and complete. - Guide Ss how to do the task. - Read the words provided. - Complete the text.

They - Develop reading and listening skills. - Express their concern about the zoo animals. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher: Teacher’s book, student’s book, activboard. - Students: Student’s book, notebook, pen, ruler III. Procedures * Warm up: - Kim’s game. ( Pictures about zoo animals) Assessment: quickly, correctly, interaction. Activity 1: 1. Look, listen and repeat: - Set the scene: + How many people are there in the pictures? Who are they? Where are they? + What animals are they? - Listen and repeat - T plays the recording,Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Let Ss repeat in chorus or in pair if necessary. - Share ideas - Focus on the sentence pattern and lead in the new lesson.
