  1. WEEK 24 Period 93 Date of teaching : UNIT 14: WHAT HAPPENED IN THE STORY? Lesson 2: Part 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to: - Identify the words(mouse, intelligent, hard- working, greedy, ) - Ask and answer questions about someone’s opinion of a book /story/character using What do you think of ? Procedures * Warm up: - Sing a song: “Once upon a time ” Assessment: quickly, correctly, beautiful Activity 1: 1. Look, listen and repeat: - Set the scene: (Look at the pictures in the book guess what the story is about and point at each picture to elicit their answers to these questions ) - Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Let Ss repeat in chorus or in pair if necessary. - Share ideas - Focus on the sentence pattern and lead in the new lesson. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Revise the words and structures through listening, writing. + Listen and tick + Write about your favourite book based on suggested questions. - Let’s play: storytelling. II. Teaching aids: - Teacher: Teacher’s book, student’s book, radio - Students: Student’s book, notebook, pen, ruler III. Procedure Warm up: - Chatting Assessement: Q – A: ( exactly, fluently) - Gives oral comments + What kind sof stories do you like? I like . + What do you think of ? I think Activity 1 4. Listen and tick. - Open the book to page 9, and then tell the given answer . - T explains the task. - Guess before listening. - Listen, circle the answer. - Share the answers in groups. Assessement: (T’s assessement) + observing + Q - A Activity 2: Write about your favourite book. - Look at the Qs and then answer in pairs. - Do the tasks. - Read own writing aloud ( 2 – 3 Ss) - Listen and comment. Listen and repeat - Open the tape twice. - Listen and repeat one by one with the Intonation - Practice * * Assessement:- voice, pronunciation, intonation. Activity 2: 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud. - Read the sentences and words. - Open the tape and listen.

Assessement: beautifully/ well/ Activity 1. 4: Read and write - Teach new words: folk tales, honest, wise, stupid. - Read and do the task - Share in groups and feedback. * Key: 1. She likes reading folk tales. 2. She thinks they are usually short and interesting.
