  1. Week 23 Date of teaching: UNIT 13: WHERE’S MY BOOK? Lesson 3: Part 1,4,5,6 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify two sounds: /ch/, /wh/ - Listen and write the words including the sounds. - Ss revise the vocabulary and model sentence about their houses. - Read, write and draw about their houses. - Express concern about their houses. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette, recording 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm-up: Q&A What is your name? Where is the ? B. New lesson: I. Presentation: Activity 1: Listen , repeat and write Discover the sounds: - Which sounds are they? - Read aloud them? - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice. - Have Ss repeat in necessary. Practise pronouncing. Take note: Which student can’t pronounce correctly and help them to correct their mistake. T plays the recording and Ss listen to do the task * Observation: Focus on spelling Share answers
  2. T observes Listen again to check the answer and give feedback. Activity 2. Read and tick. - T runs through the sentences. - Ask Ss to read the sentences aloud to the class. The others listen and give comments. - Read silently and complete to tick - Ss check Oral comment: - St’s can complete correctly . St read correctly the conversation Activity 3. Read and complete - Have a revision of the language. Get Ss to look the pictures and sentences. Then complete the sentences - Report your answers. Others listen and comment. Observation: Take-note. - St’s fill correct words in the box Activity 4. Project - Introduce the situation. - Explain how to do the exercise: draw your bedroom and describe it to your classmates - Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment. - Draw 5 minutes. Ss check and comment together portfolio. (coloring, content - vocabulary/ structure, pronunciation) C. Home – link. Draw the word art: house Portfolio: - design - vocabulary - grammar
  3. UNIT 14: ARE THERE ANY POSTERS IN THE ROOM? LESSON 1 (Part 1-2-3) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about things in the room. - Ask and answer questions about things in the room, using Are there any in the room? – Yes, there are/ No, there aren’t. - Express students’ concern about their friends’ things in the room by using question “ Are there any in the room? –Yes, there are/ No, there aren’t. II. Teaching aids: Text book, Picture, cassette, workbook III. Procedure: A. Warm up - Chant “Where is the book? and clap their hands. T Gives feedback (pronunciation, performance and voice) Q-A: Ask Ss to eliciting questions to elicit the new lessons. B. New lesson Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Where are they? - Who are they? - What is it? Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Listen and repeat - T plays the recording, Ss listen and repeat line by line once or twice. - Have Ss repeat the whole dialogue in chorus. Activity 2. Point and say. Ask Ss to revise the vocabulary about things in the room by playing the game “Matching”. T gives comments ( checklist) Teach the sentence pattern. Ask some questions to elicit the new sentence pattern of the lesson. “ Are there any in the room? –Yes, there are/ No, there aren’t ” Modeling
  4. Point and say - Use textbook Peer assessment (Ss work in individually to practice asking and answering about things in the room by using the new sentence pattern. T prepares checklists: pronunciation, structure, interaction for Ss.) T observes and gives feedback Activity 3. Let’s talk. (10ms) Ask Ss to play the game “Noughts and Crosses” Introduce the rules of the game and model. Students play. Praise. C. Homelink: Draw your things in the room. UNIT 14: ARE THERE ANY POSTERS IN THE ROOM? Lesson 1: (part 4-5-6) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to: - Revise vocabulary about things in the room. - Practise Listening, Reading and writing the things in the room. - Express their concern about the things in the room around them. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, computer 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures A.Warm up: - slap the board: maps/ sofas/ wardrobes/ cupboards/ pictures Assessement: ( praise and share) - Ss’s vocabulary about things in the room: you remember some objects related to things in the room( maps/ sofas/ wardrobes/ cupboards .) - Ss’s structure: you can use the sentence pattern “ Are there any in the room.” exactly B. New lesson: Activity 4. Listen and tick
  5. - Show pupils how to carry out the task and tick the box. Elicit the pictures. Have pupils repeat them once and twice - Play the recording three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class Key: *T’assessment: ( quick notes) -You observe the ways students do the task. - Give oral comments Activity 5. Look, read and write Q-A: - Elicit the pictures: + What’s this? Where is it? + What are they? Where are they? ( point to the object in the picture?) + Model the first sentence with one realia ( Call one student hold the ruler and you ask the him/ her? - Give pupils time to do the task, swap and check their answers. => peer-assessment - Do choral and individual repetition *T’assessment: ( quick notes) - Praise and share: ( Good job/ Perfect/ .) - S’s assessment: + give written comments (focus on the word-spelling). Students check together. + role play: ( Mary/ Peter) Key: Activity 6 Let’s write: logo? - Give students a few minutes to look at the sentences and read them in silence. * * Q-A: Check comprehension and give feedback - Get students to write the words in individually - S write on their notebooks. - T corrects - Call a few open pairs to read the sentences=> peer-assessment C. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify some things in the room and quantity of things. - Ask and answer question about quantity of things Using “ How many are there? There are ”

Warm up: Game : Bingo Map, sofa, fan, cupboard, mirror, wardrobe, door, picture - QA: Sts’ vocabualaries about things in the room. - Oral comments - Praise and share B. New lesson. Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat.10ms + Discover the picture: *Q-A -How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - What is this? ( Point to the objects) + Listen to the recording a few times ( 3 times) + Listen and repeat line by line. + Say the words in each bubble Activity 2: Point and say.10ms Aims of this activity - Ask and answer about things in the room and quantity of things.
