  1. UNIT 7: THAT’S MY SCHOOL Lesson 1: Part 1, 2, 3 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify the vocabulary about school facility: school, classroom, gym, library, computer room, playground - Practice talking about school facility, using That’s the + (school facility). - Express their concern about school facilities. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A.Warm up: Play the game: Pass the secret: - This is my friend Nam. - That is Linh. She is my friend. T’s assessment: Give oral comments.(focus on exact sentences and cooperation) B. New lesson: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat Discover the pictures: - Who are they in the picture? - Where are they? - What are they talking about? - . Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson. Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat twice. - Ss listen and repeat in chorus or in pairs. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Revise the words of the school facilities by listening and writing - Practice writing by using the names of the school facilities to complete the sentences. - Practice singing the song This is the way we go to school. - Express their concern about school facilities. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks, crayons, posters III. Procedure: A. Warm up: Play the game: Slap the board Use the pictures of classroom, gym, library, computer room, playground T’s assessment: - Ss’s vocabulary about school facilities. -Praise and share B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and tick Aims: Listen and tick the correct pictures Discover the pictures: - What room is it? - Where are the pupils? - Listen to the recording and tick the correct pictures twice Listen to the recording and check the answers T’s assessment: Give oral comments and feedback. Put the pictures on a poster. Each person takes turn to talk about the pictures. Show the posters to the class. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identify five words: big, small, new, old, large. - Practice asking and answering the question about school facility, using Is the + (school facility) + ( adjective) - Express their concern about the features of school facilities. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks, posters, crayons, paper. III. Procedure: A. Warm up: Play the game: I can see Use pictures of school, classroom, gym, library, computer room, playground T’s assessment: Ss’ vocabulary about school facilities. Praise and share B. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: - Revise the words of the school facilities by listening, reading and writing - Practice reading by using the information from the reading to circle the correct words. - Write about their own school. - Express their concern about their own school. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedure: A. Warm up: play the game: Spelling Bee with the words: big, small, new, old, large and make sentences with these words. B. New lesson: Activity 1: Listen and number Discover the pictures: -What is it in picture a? - Is the house new or old? Listen to the recording and number the pictures twice Listen to the recording and pupils give the answers T’s assessment: Give comments and correct.
