Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to understand the conversation and know some roles of science and technology. They will be able to give the opposite of words using the prefix un- or im-. - Vocabulary: Lexical items related to Science and technology Inventions - Grammar: Future tenses: review; reported speech: statements. 2. Competence: Teamwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence 3. Behavior: Students are hard-working and attentive. They know the roles of science and technology and highly appreciate them. B. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher: Textbooks, teaching plan, teacher‟s book 2. Students: Textbooks, notebooks C. Procedures: 1. Checking: During the lesson. 2. New lesson: Teacher’s and students’ activities Contents 1. Warm up (3’) Aims: To attract Ss‟ attention to the lesson and to lead in the new lesson. Ss have a small talk about some advanced technology. 2. Presentation (20’) Aims: Help students listen, read and do some exercises about the conversation. - Ask Ss to open their books to Unit 11, 1-Listen and read cover the conversation and look at the picture. - T asks prediction questions: What can you see in the pictures? Do you know these characters? Where are they now? What are they talking about? ... Ss answer the questions as a class. - Play the recording and have Ss listen and follow along. - T introduces some new words.
