Objectives By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to have an opportunity to explore the table manners in th UK and compare them with those in Viet Nam. 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: prong; cutlery; palm; mat; host/ hostess. - Grammar: Modals “should, shouldn’t”. 2. Competence: Group work, individual work, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence. 3. Behavior: Be aware of protecting “custom and traditions”. B. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher: Textbooks, teaching plan, teacher’s book 2. Students: Textbooks, notebooks C. Procedures: 1. Checking: Asks Ss to use “must and mustn’t” to talk about some customs and traditions in Viet Nam. (3’) 2. New lesson: Teacher's and students’ activities The main contents 1. Warm- up (5’) Aim: To provide Ss some background knowledge about the topic of the lesson. - T introduces two pictures in the book 1.
