  1. Week 21 Period 21 Wednesday, February 5th 2025 Unit 6: In the classroom Lesson 3 A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - use “It’s a red _____.” to introduce things. - sing a song focusing on the structures “I have _____.”, “He has _____.” and “It’s a red _____ - Vocabulary: review - Skills: speaking, writing and listening. 2. Competences: - Co-operation: ready to help friends in pair work/ group work. - Know how to practise some sounds. - Know how to sing exactly. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love food, love learning English B. METHODS: - Work in pairs, work in groups, ask and answer. - Communicative approach, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practicing, prediction. C. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, school things. D. PROCEDURES: Stages/ Time Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: Sing a song (5’) *Aims: to create a friendly and active atmosphere in the class to beginning the lesson. *Procedure: - Ss sing a song
  2. - Spend a few minutes revising the -Ss open their book. previous lesson by asking the class to sing the chant in Lesson 2 and clap their hands. -Ss listen. - Have pupils open their books and look at Lesson 3 2. Practice (27’) Activity 1. 6. Listen and repeat: *Aims: Ss will be able to listen and repeat the sentence It’s a red pen. *Procedure: -Ss listen and repeat. - Have pupils look at the picture, point to the pen and say. -Ss point and say - Point to the sentence “It’s a red pen.” And explain the meaning of the sentence and how it -Ss listen and repeat is used. Check comprehension. - Get pupils to look at the sentence It’s a red pen. Play the recording several times for them to listen and repeat, saying Now listen -Ss look and say and repeat, please! Correct pronunciation, if necessary. - Show a real red pen (or a -Ss point and say flashcard of a red pen) and ask pupils to look at it, saying Look at the pen, please! It’s red. - Ask pupils to point to the sentence -Ss say in front of class. and say it, saying Point and say, please! Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. - Invite a few pupils to listen and repeat the sentence “It’s a red pen.” -Look at the picture and in front of the class. describe.   3. *Aims: Ss will be able to introduce the things, using “It’s a red _____. “ *Procedure: - Have pupils look at the bubble to understand how the language is used (It’s a red _____.) - Ask them to look at the pictures to identify the things. Then let them -Point and say point to the pictures and say the words -Ss do the task. - Point to Picture a and model the task, using the expression in the bubble and the word in the picture. - Follow the same procedure with -Ss point and say Pictures b, c, d by getting pupils to point to the pictures and introduce -Ss say in front of class the things. Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task. - If time allows, invite some pupils to point to the pictures and say the sentences in front of the class, saying Well done! if they performed well. -Ss listen and answer Activity 3. 8.
