- UNIT 7: MY NEIGHBORHOOD Period 42 - Lesson 3: Listen * Aims : - To help students develop four skills, especially practice listening for specific information about what Na’s going to do this weekend in her new neighborhood. - To help students review vocabulary about places in the neighborhood. * Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : + Understand the listening text about Na’s plan this weekend. + Talk about their dream neighborhood. * Teaching aids: textbook, computer, projector, powerpoint lesson plan. * Anticipated problems: - Students may get difficulties in giving evidences for T/F/NI statements. Solution : Teacher guides students before listening and plays the tape more times if necessary for students to listen and checks the answers carefully. * Procedure : Teacher’s activities + time distribution Students’ activities I. Warm – up: 6' * Greeting and chatting: - Students listen and answer. * Kim’s game: - Show a clip about places in the neighborhood - Students watch the clip and and ask students to remember as many places as try to remember the places possible. they’ve seen. + Divide class into 2 teams and rewrite the places - 2 teams write on the board. on the table. + Check with the whole class ( 2 secretaries). - Students listen and read out the answer. * Answer Supermarket, swimming pool, cinema, park, library, museum, Opera House, stadium
