Present participle and past participle (Hiện tại phân từ ) ) 1. Present participle ( Hiện tại phân từ.) Hiện tại phân từ được thành lập bằng cách them đuôi – ING vào sau động từ nguyên mẫu : work – working , play – playing , see – seeing . 2. past participle ( Quá khứ phân từ ) Quá khứ phân từ được thành lập bằng cách thêm đuôi – ED vào sau động từ có quy tắc . Với động từ bất quy tic , quá khứ phân từ năm ở cột thứ 3 : do – done , work – worked . IV. Reported speech with infinitives and gerunds. Để tường thuật lại các lời yêu cầu, đề nghị, cảnh báo , xin lỗi, khuyên bảo chúng ta có thể áp dụng các cấu trúc s.dụng To Inf. hoặc Gerund . Reported speech with infinitive(s): (Câu tường thuật với động từ nguyên mẫu) 1. Reported requests and orders (Tường thuật yêu cầu và mệnh lệnh): Với loại tường thuật này ta có thể sử dụng mẫu tường thuật: to tell/ask someone to do something My teacher told me to listen to her - She asked me to shut the door Dạng phủ định: to tell/ask someone not to do something - My teacher asked me not to talk in the class. 2. Reported offers and suggestions (Tường thuật lời đề nghị giúp đỡ và sự đề nghị). Trong loại câu này chúng ta thường sử dụng các động từ: offer, promise, refuse, agree, threaten, hope, wish, . Với công thức như sau: S +reported verb+ to –inf - She promised to do her homework. Chúng ta cũng có thể sử dụng các động từ như: remind, warn, advise, invite, allow, với công thức sau: S +reported verb+ object + to-inf - My Mom reminded me to go to school early. Reported speech with Gerund * verb + preposition + gerund ( complain about, dream of, apologize for, confess to, insist on, object to ) Ex: Tom said, “ I am sorry I messed up the arrangement” Tom apologized for messing up the arrangement * verb + object + preposition + gerund ( blame smb for/ thank smb for/ congratulate smb on/ insist on/ accuse smb of/ ) Ex: “It was your fault.
